Сегодня состоялось открытие выставки World Press Photo в Американском университете в Центральной Азии.
Путешествующая экспозиция включает в себя около 140 работ-победителей самого престижного в мире конкурса фотожурналистики World Press Photo. Выставка продлится с 11 по 24 января 2019. Вход свободный.
World Press Photo – самый авторитетный международный ежегодный смотр фотожурналистики, который во многом определяет стандарты профессии. Каждый год международное независимое жюри, состоящее из профессиональных фотографов и фоторедакторов СМИ, оценивает работы претендентов в девяти различных категориях, представленные фотожурналистами, агентствами, газетами и журналами со всех уголков света. За две недели работы членами жюри было отсмотрено более 103 тысяч фотографий 5 666 авторов из 124 стран мира. В феврале 2014 года в Амстердаме финал конкурса прошел в 57-й раз.
World Press Photo — независимая неправительственная организация, основанная в 1955 году под покровительством принца Королевства Нидерландов. Организация предоставляет уникальную площадку для независимой фотожурналистики и свободного обмена информацией. The World Press Photo exhibition is on display today at the American University in Central Asia.
The traveling exposition includes about 140 works, winners of the most prestigious photojournalism competition — World Press Photo. The exhibition will run from January 11 to 24, 2019. Admission is free.
World Press Photo is the most authoritative international annual review of photojournalism, which largely determines the standards of the profession. Each year, an international independent jury consisting of professional photographers and media photo editors evaluates the work of applicants in nine different categories submitted by photojournalists, agencies, newspapers and magazines from all over the world. For two weeks of work, the members of the jury reviewed more than 103 thousand photographs of 5,666 authors from 124 countries of the world. In February 2014 in Amsterdam the final of the competition was held for the 57th time.
World Press Photo is an independent non-governmental organization founded in 1955 under the auspices of the Prince of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The organization provides a unique platform for independent photojournalism and free exchange of information. World Press Photo works with the support of the Dutch Postcode Lottery (Dutch postal lottery). The exhibition is sponsored worldwide by Canon.
