Молодой дизайнер из Филадельфии, США Джеймс МакНэбб, занимается разработкой и производством деревянных изделий для интерьера. Недавно в Нью-Йорке он представил коллекцию скульптур из дерева «The City Series».
Идея создания этой коллекции появилась совершенно случайно, когда дизайнер с помощью ленточной пилы пытался сделать что-то похожее на инструмент. Но когда, он закончил, оказалось, что у него в руке появился миниатюрный деревянный небоскреб. Через час Джеймс вырезал еще 15 башенок, а к утру следующего дня на его столе выстроился целый город из 200 небоскребов, домов и башен.
Каждая деталь из этой коллекции уникальна. Все урбанистические пейзажи МакНэбба выполнены из деревянных отходов, которые оставались после работы над мебелью и аксессуарами. Городская серия – это иллюстрация того, как можно создавать произведения искусства из ничего.
Кроме городской коллекции, Джеймс МакНебб в своей студии изготавливает дизайнерские предметы интерьера из дерева, которые также можно расценивать как произведения искусства.
